Delete Your Account
You can close your BabulPOS shop and delete everything held with it at any time, and you do not need the app installed to ask. Read the first section before you do - your sales history cannot be recovered afterwards.

Two ways to ask
Option one · in the app
Settings → Account
Open Settings, go to the Account section and choose Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm, because this closes the whole shop. Only the owner can do this.
Option two · by email
Ask us directly
Send us your shop name and the email or phone number on the owner account. We will ask you to confirm from that address before we act.
Email a deletion requestBefore you ask: take your records first
Your sales history is your book of accounts, and deletion is permanent. Export it to CSV from Reports before you ask us to delete anything - once the shop is gone we cannot produce it again, not even from a backup, because backups are rotated and then discarded.
If you only want a copy and not a deletion, write to us and ask. We will send you your data without closing anything.
Settle any outstanding udhari and vendor payables first. Those balances are records of money owed between you and other people; deleting them does not cancel the debt, it just removes your evidence of it.
What happens after you ask
- Your request reaches us immediately.
- We confirm it came from the shop owner, not from a staff member or someone who got hold of a device.
- We give you a short grace period - normally seven days - in case the request was a mistake or was not made by you. You can cancel it in that window by writing to us.
- The account and the data below are deleted within 30 days of the request.
- We email you to confirm when it is done.
What is deleted when a shop is closed
Everything the shop holds. Your sales, refunds and receipts; your products, variants, categories, prices and stock levels; your udhari customers and their ledgers; your vendors, receivings and payables; your expenses, deals, morning rates and reports; the owner and every salesperson account, including their names, phone numbers, emails and CNIC numbers; and the local copy on each device the next time it is signed out.
What is kept, and why
Two narrow things, neither of which contains your business records:
- A line in our administrative log noting that an account was deleted, when it was asked for and when it was done. It is how we can show the request was honoured.
- Billing and payment records for a closed paid account, where tax and accounting law requires us to keep them for a set period. These record what was paid, not what you sold.
Both are deleted once the period that requires them has passed.
If you are a salesperson, not the owner
Your account belongs to a shop you do not own, and the shop's sales records are the owner's books rather than your personal data. Ask your shop owner to remove your account: Settings → Staff, then disable or delete it. You are locked out immediately, on every device.
Your name stays on the sales you rang up, because a receipt that no longer says who served the customer stops being a usable record for the shop. If you believe your account has been kept active after you left, write to us and we will take it up with the shop owner.
Just want to stop for a while?
You do not need to delete anything. Moving to the Free plan keeps your records and stops the billing. Signing out leaves the account untouched, and turning off notifications in your phone settings stops the app reaching you. An account left idle is not deleted by us.
