Terms of Use

The agreement between your shop and BabulTech for using BabulPOS: how subscriptions work, who owns the records, what the app promises, and what remains your responsibility.

Last updated 18 September 2026

1. Who these terms are between

BabulPOS is published by BabulTech. By creating a shop, signing in, or using the app on Android or Windows, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to commit that business.

2. Your account

  • The details you give at sign-up - name, phone, email, CNIC, shop name and business type - must be accurate, and you must keep them up to date.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account, including everything your staff do with the accounts you create for them.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your shop.
  • One shop is one tenant. Running several unrelated businesses through a single shop account will give you accounts that do not reconcile, and is not what the product is for.

3. Owners and salespersons

An owner has full access. A salesperson sees the sale screens only - no reports, no stock, no settings. Those boundaries are enforced on our servers, not merely hidden in the app, but they are a division of duties inside your own business: it remains your responsibility to decide who you give an account to.

An owner can disable a staff account at any time, and a disabled account stops working on every device.

4. Plans, billing and what happens if you stop paying

BabulPOS is sold as a monthly subscription per shop, in Pakistani Rupees. The Free plan is genuinely free and has no time limit. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew until you tell us to stop.

  • Prices are shown on the BabulPOS product page and in the app. We may change them, and we will tell you before a change affects what you pay.
  • You can change plan at any time. Moving up takes effect immediately; moving down takes effect at your next renewal, so you keep what you have paid for.
  • Cancel whenever you like. Your paid features run to the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • We do not refund part-months, except where the law requires it or where we have got something wrong.
  • If a payment fails, we will contact you before restricting anything. An unpaid account may be moved to the Free plan or suspended - but your records are not deleted for non-payment, and you can still get them out.

5. Your data belongs to you

Your products, sales, customers, vendors and reports are yours. We claim no ownership of them, and we do not sell them or use them for advertising. We hold and process them to run the service for you, as described in the

Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

You can export your sales history to CSV on the plans that include it, and you can ask us for a copy of your data at any time.

6. What you may not do

  • Use BabulPOS for anything illegal, or to keep records of trade that is itself illegal.
  • Resell, sublicense or rebrand the app without a written agreement with us.
  • Copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the app, except to the extent the law says you may.
  • Try to reach another shop's data, probe or attack our systems, or work around the limits of your plan.
  • Share one paid shop account across businesses that are not the same business.
  • Upload malware, or automate the app in a way that degrades it for other shops.

7. Offline operation, and what it does and does not promise

BabulPOS is built to keep selling when the internet is down: sales, stock changes and payments are written on the device first and reconciled with our servers when the connection returns. That is the core of the product and we take it seriously.

It is not a promise that a device cannot be lost, stolen or broken before it has synced. Records entered offline exist only on that device until it next reaches the internet. Let your devices sync regularly, and treat a device that has been offline for a long time as carrying data nobody else has.

8. Your books are yours to check

BabulPOS calculates totals, balances, profit estimates and reports from what is entered into it. It is a tool for keeping records, not an accountant, auditor or tax adviser. Figures it produces - including estimated profit and any tax amounts - should be checked before you rely on them for a tax return, a loan application, or a decision that matters.

You remain responsible for your own tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.

9. Updates and changes to the app

The app checks for updates and will prompt you to install them. We may add, change or remove features as the product develops. Where a change removes something you rely on, we will say so in the release notes rather than let you find out at the counter.

We may retire a platform when it can no longer deliver the product properly - as we did with the browser version, which could not keep a shop selling without internet.

10. Availability

We work to keep the syncing and cloud parts of BabulPOS available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, faults, and failures at our infrastructure providers can interrupt sync. The app is designed so that such an interruption does not stop you selling.

11. Third-party services

BabulPOS relies on services we do not control - cloud hosting and sync, push notification delivery, and crash reporting. Their own terms govern their part, and we are not liable for their failures beyond our obligations to you under these terms.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using BabulPOS at any time and delete your account from the app or by writing to us.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used to attack or abuse the service, or where the law requires it. Except where a breach is serious or ongoing, we will warn you first and give you a reasonable chance to put it right - and a chance to get your data out.

13. Liability

BabulPOS is provided as-is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and that cannot be excluded.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for BabulPOS in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before going to court, please write to us - most things are quicker to fix directly.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. A change that materially affects your rights or what you pay will be told to you in the app or by email, and continuing to use BabulPOS after it takes effect means you accept it.
